My Chemical Romance Tweet For First Time In Two Years, Fans Can't Handle It

My Chemical Romance got fans all kinds of worked up on Thursday (March 21), when their official accounted tweeted for the first time in nearly two years. Diehards still have notifications linked to their profile, so when MCR posts something they're the first to know. When their phones started buzzing, fans desperately clicked in to see what their idols had to say. Unfortunately, the tweet has nothing to do with a reunion; however, it's the next best thing for those who support the band's members in their solo efforts.

Former MCR guitarist Frank Iero recently announced a new album and tour, along with dropping a new song, and the band rallied behind him to help promote the news. Frank Iero and the Future Violents are set to release their debut album album Barriers on May 31.

As for a potential MCR reunion? Former frontman Gerard Way recently denied one happening any time soon, though he did admit he missed playing with his old bandmates. Besides, he's plenty busy with his solo project and new Netflix series The Umbrella Academy right now.

Nevertheless, MCR diehards could hardly contain themselves when they got that Twitter notification. Here are some of our favorite reactions.
