Chevy Chase Involved In Road Rage Fight

Chevy Chase recently lost his cool while driving in upstate New York. It got so heated that a 22-year-old man told PageSix he had to kick the Caddyshack actor in self-defense.

Chase was driving north on Interstate 87 when he was allegedly cut off by another motorist. He thought his Mercedes might have been hit by the driver of the Dodge Ram that cut him off. Chase flashed his lights and chased down the motorist, 22-year-old Michael Landrio.

Chase quickly realized that neither car was damaged but wanted to have some words with the driver "about his reckless driving."

According to TMZ, the confrontation became heated when one of the passengers in the car flipped off the actor. Chase yelled back at the group, "If I were a lot younger I'd bust your nose." At that point, one of the passengers kicked the 74-year-old actor to the ground.

Police said the Landrio told them Chase threw the first punch and that he was just trying to block the blow. Police cited him for 2nd-degree harassment with physical contact. He is due in court on March 5th.
