High School Cheerleaders Under Investigation For Using Racial Slur In Video

A group of high school juniors and seniors are in hot water after a video they recorded a year ago has gone viral. The video features the girls driving in a car, while taking turns yelling "f*** n******"." The video went viral after it was sent out in a private social media post and the reposted publicly by outraged students.

According to the Huffington Post, the girls claim they were saying “serggin cuff”, and then used an app that plays the audio backwards. Lane Findlay, a spokesman for the Weber School District, says that explanation "doesn’t excuse their behavior in any way. It’s still offensive and inappropriate.”

The school is taking the matter seriously and says the girls could face serious punishment from being kicked off the cheerleading squad to expulsion.
